General Instructions for Nozzle Operation
Operating Guidelines:
- Maximum Pressure: 580 PSI (40 bar).
- Maximum capacity of 950l per min.
- Open and close the shut-off valve slowly to avoid water hammer.
- Not suitable for electrical fires.
- Use only with water and firefighting foam.
- Do not overtighten or modify the nozzle.
Operating Steps:
- Open the shutoff by pulling the handle toward the inlet; close by pushing it toward the outlet.
- Adjust spray pattern by rotating the bumper: clockwise for straight stream, counterclockwise for wide fog.
- Change flow setting by rotating the flow control ring; adjust fire engine to maintain 100 PSI at the nozzle inlet.
- To flush, set the flow control ring to FLUSH.
Maintenance:
- Inspect before and after use. Remove from service if controls are difficult, excessive wear, leaks, or broken parts are found.
- Flush with clean water to remove dirt.
- Periodically check and tighten the baffle screw.
